We are delighted to announce the winners of the First Annual Foto Forum Santa Fe Photography Award. These photographers were selected by the 2021 Juror Harry Gamboa, Jr from amongst the large pool of talented applicants.
First Prize: Jerry Takigawa, $1000.00 cash prize and two-month solo exhibition for his body of work, "Balancing Cultures", which deals with layers of meaning, memory, and family—and with Executive Order 9066, which mandated the incarceration of 120,000 American citizens and legal residents of Japanese ancestry. The work is on display at the gallery from August 6th to September 30th, 2021.
Second Prize: Lily Colman, $500.00 cash prize and two-month online exhibition for her work using photography, installation, video, embroidery, and the creation of photographic objects (through embroidery and alternative process techniques), to examine her expectations upon entering marriage.
